Maliq & d’Essentials Show

Maliq & d’Essentials is one of the few performers in JakJazz that drew hundreds of people who packed the open Big Stage 1 at the left wing of Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday evening show. Maliq & d’Essentials show was started at about 11 p.m., right after Curtis King and his band finished their entertaining performance.

The timing was a bit dilemmatic since we had bought tickets for the special show that run almost at the same time. There was only a space of 15 minutes between the two performance, but we stayed until about 11.30 p.m. before leaving Maliq & d’Essentials stage.

I haven’t had the idea yet of bringing a folded chair that would enable me to stand on it and take photos right above people heads. Hence we had to climb to the top of an open space near one of the food courts to get the best view of the concert.

Maliq & d’Essentials members who performed at JakJazz were Angga (vocalist), Indah (vocalist), Widi (drum), Strio (guitar), Dendy (bass), Rif’at (keyboard), and Amar (trumpet). Maliq & d’Essentials music seems quite well accepted, especially by young people, as many of them were among the crowds that night.

Maliq & d’Essentials released their latest album this year entitled Free Your Mind with Heaven as the highlighted song of the album. A year before Maliq & d’Essentials launched 1st Maliq n d’Essentials Special Edition.

Here are a few photos from Maliq & d’Essentials show.
