The Call

The perfect world is the imperfect one. No prosperous society exists without the chain of episodes of darkness, alienation, ignorance, repression, exploitation, poverty, the struggle of humanity and environmental survival. If there really is one, it's a matter of perfect timing for the turning points to happen. Whoever pulls the trigger is honored or cursed as the instrument of change.

The mysterious wheel of life moves not only forwards and backwards, but it spins as well, sometimes warp unpredictably. Where one stands at that time of peace or upheavals, the way a person sees things and how he or she reads and interprets the signs of time, responds and acts to confusing situations, will determine one’s position in history, written or not.

Time’s moving restlessly, in a pace that is sometimes a lot faster than expected. We’ll surely be dust in the wind in no time. The question is what we can do more in life before becoming just another one. For Indonesians, who voluntarily or involuntarily live overseas or within our homeland, I invite you all to sit and join me in the reminiscence of Indonesia Pusaka.

The past is history, whilst the future is unknown, but today is a gift, the present. In the spirit of the commemoration of our Independence Day, I call you to consider doing something more instrumental within your reach and capacity for your love to the motherland. The choice is between just be another dust in the wind or be something a little nobler than that…

I close my eyes
Only for a moment and the moment's gone
All my dreams
Flash before my eyes of curiosity

Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind

Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see

Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind

Now
Don't hang on
Nothing lasts forever but the Earth and Sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy

Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind

  5. Well, firstly happy I Day :)

Secondly, that was a cool song to go with the independent day post..

thirdly the best idea which I liked in the post the way you said we won't ever know what is in store for us so it is better if we live our today but to add to it I think along with living for today we should be prepared for our tomorrows too...

  6. Live for today but with an eye towards tomorrow. There is something to be said about being prepared. One should always try to strike a balance between the past, the present, and the future.

  7. noer: Horeeeeeeeee juga nduk :). Met menjalankan puasa ya, smoga tambah sabar...

    Noonathome: bagaimanakah kabar hutanku nduk...?

silly: makasih nduk, smoga bukumu bisa terbit sebelum lebaran ya, buat hadiah bapakmu ini... :)

Slot Machines: whilst the future is mystery, some may see before things happen, many of the past are still unknown, and todays are often neglected...

Bouncer: agree, and make peace with the past..

Michelle: some actually are quite good in digging the past, others are the best in liven up today, while others have towering strengths in preparing for the future... Sadly, we have to sacrifice something if we want to be really good on certain things...

  12. Very Right. Life always honors us with a chance once in our lives, and now its our task either to keep moving and spinning wth it or to move it the way we like making a difference, in this world and the life hereafter. Making differences is not that big thing we can start with the smallest things. We can smile and be the reason of others smile , can put aside a peel of banana or some pin at the pavement, assure ourselves not to tell lies , not to hurt and one and so on...

little words of kindness, little deeds of love; Make this world a heaven, like the heaven above:)

    I salute your compassion :) !

  13. Life is like a wheel..sometimes you are in the upper portion and sometimes int he down. But where ever we are we should be grateful that we experienced the significance and wonderful life..We play the game of life that help us to be more courageous in every difficulty that we had.

  14. Dust in the wind all we are is dust in the wind, when are am I gonna be tomorrow morning? I ask myself this question every day as I wake up, I really don't know the true, that's why I try to live one single day as the last. I know something is boring, you can't say that the last day of your life you want to be working! but that's the way it is, so try to live your life Today and don`t worry about tomorrow!

  16. I agree with you on this ---> "Time’s moving restlessly, in a pace that is sometimes a lot faster than expected. We’ll surely be dust in the wind in no time. The question is what we can do more in life before becoming just another one."

It's true that time indeed flies very fast.. that's why it is very important that we live our life well and meaningfully.

I hope you continue writing..your works are inspiring to read.
